NEED

My wish list is creeping up on me because I can't seem to afford to tick anything off while trying to save for Melbourne. The two items above are on the top of wish/need list at the moment, a Boy London tee and platform oxfords to match. Ah baby I need them.

NEXT GEN

I worked as a model in a hair show called Next Gen last night and it was so good! The aim was to resemble the red carpet hence the curls and the beautiful dress from La Lune. More photos to come!

FLORAL

I've had the flu since Thursday and it's turned out to be really helpful. I've gotten heaps of uni work done and I even made this little flower headband. It cost me a lot more to make than I originally thought it would but I'm really pleased with the result!

My blog just reached 1000 page views so I thought I would make a little celebratory post before I pop off to my last uni lecture for the semester! Once again I'm just sharing my love for collared beauties with you all! Ciao!

STOLEN

I stubbled across Stolen on a miserable Monday morning and it brightened up my day so so much! STOLEN was founded in 2005 by Elyn Wong and although it is not yet popular, it is surely one to watch. Anyone who knows me or follows me on Tumblr or Instagram will know that I am fond of minimalism and Stolen definitely has a strong sense of simplicity whether in cut, silhouette or colours. The photographs above are from the labels Lookbook and are perfect as you can see.


Elyn is hoping to push the label to Australia asap and is working on promoting the label in fashion events so keep your eyes pealed!

BURBERRY

I sometimes think to myself that I should drop out of uni and get a monotonous full time job so that I can afford every single piece of designer clothing that is released. Unfortunately my goals, dreams and mother would never allow me to do this. For now I'm reduced to drooling over beautiful shoes like the ones pictures above until I finish my degree and earn some decent money. Waaaaah!

Celine designer Phoebe Philo keeps on presenting stunning collection after stunning collection and it's blowing my mind. I've been completely and utterly in luv with the label ever since I laid eyes upon the wood grain print shirt by Celine in the winter 2011 collection. Okay maybe I'm a little obsessed but who wouldn't be?

It's just soooooooo good.

GREASE

I promised myself I wouldn't allow selfies on my blog but I've made an exception this time because I want to show off my new lippy. I've been contemplating buying a dark purple lipstick for a few months now but I thought it would look strange and really punk, it sort of does but I luv it.

I wore this outfit to Grease the musical tonight, it was a lovely night out and I actually got complimented on my appearance which was nice. I have many exciting events coming up in the next few months, one of which is a hair show and I'm so excited to be involved in it! Yey yey yipee!

I need to sleep and stop rambling now, I will post a decent blog post tomorrow! Keep your eyes peeled xo

Her poses are kind of awkward but there's something about it that makes me want to see more. I think it's the styling by Jack Borkett, with perfect collared shirts and over the knee socks that emphasis her never ending legs. I can't wait to see more of her.

The Room is a book/magazine that comprises of high fashion editorial shoots, I only stumbled upon it a few weeks ago but so far I am loving everything that it has to offer. It has a strong visual identity and The Room 15 edition is amazing! Good imagination definitely makes good work! 

The Room 14 is also perfect! The images featured below are just two of the four images in the edition by photographer Charlie Engman. I am in luv.

BACK TO BASICS

I have somehow managed to make a great winter wardrobe for myself but I lack in basics. I always seem to do this because I fall in love with prints and floral fabrics, which results in a limited amount of outfits. I need the following essentials:

1. American Apparel silky collar tee (featured above)

2. Black pair of ankle boots 

3. American Apparel cable knit pullover

4. Quality leather strap watch

5. Black skinny legged jeans

Braided and plaited hair is beautiful and timeless. The style wone my heart at age when I wore my hair in plaits every day for 365 days. I still until this day plait my hair most nights before going to bed, braids and plaits will forever be in my heart.

After watching videos and scrolling through hundreds of images of the WBFWA 2012, it was nice to see braided hair featured by designers such as Alice McCall. Long live braids and plaits!

COLLARED

 

I adore clean white collared shirts so much that my fascination has grown into an obsession over the past few months. I now have so many in my wardrobe that it resembles something out of a 'minimalist' blog haha, damn! I just can't get enough of them! Since modelling for La Lune which consisted of me posing in sheer collared shirts with humongous flower bouquets on my head and glitter tea cups in my hand, I have become a tea drinking, collar wearing, crazy cat. I'm not complaining though!

Two things I'm obsessing over right now:

1. Vintage sunglasses

2. Flowers placed irratically on the human body

I just can't seem to get dainty flowers or vintage sunglasses out of my head at the moment. I don't really mind if the flowers are placed strangely on your body, like pictured above, or there's a huge birds nest looking headband on your head, i still love the idea.
